Coupa, the leading platform for agentic spend management, announced momentum across its Invoice-to-Pay (I2P) solutions, highlighted by strong revenue growth for Coupa Pay alongside the adoption of its AI-powered agents for finance and treasury teams.
Coupa’s I2P solution unifies invoicing and accounts payable, expenses, payments, and treasury management on a single platform, giving finance leaders real-time visibility into spend and cash, stronger controls, and greater automation that reduces manual work and optimizes working capital.
Coupa Pay continues to be a powerhouse for the company, demonstrating rapid growth, with an over 69% compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) over the last three years. The company concluded the first half of fiscal year 2027 with an impressive 58% year-over-year increase in transaction growth for Coupa Pay.
“Five consecutive quarters of transaction revenue growth above 50% year over year shows this business is built for the long term,” said Bill Wardwell, SVP and GM of Coupa Pay and Treasury. “This milestone is a testament to our world-class product, durable operations, and strong cross-functional execution.”
Coupa Card Use Sets Records
Coupa Card—a mobile virtual card solution embedded natively within Coupa Pay—continues to scale, with transaction spend more than tripling in each of the last two calendar quarters, less than one year since its launch in November 2025. Monthly users have also grown sixfold over the last six months.
To date, Coupa Card has facilitated approximately $50 million in total spend since its launch, optimizing working capital and enhancing security by providing virtual commercial cards that unify credit approvals, tap-to-pay capabilities, and automatic payment reconciliation within a single system.
Carvana, an online used car retailer, has generated over 71,000 Coupa Cards, giving them an end-to-end experience that brings credit approvals, automatic reconciliation, and payment execution into one system to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
“The momentum behind Coupa Card reflects a broader shift in how businesses want to pay and get paid: seamlessly, securely, and within the workflows they already use every day,” said Rebecca Meeker, SVP of B2B Partnerships and Embedded Finance at Mastercard. “Mastercard is proud to support Coupa as the network powering the card and a leading virtual card partner – bringing the scale, security, and acceptance of our global network to help simplify supplier payments, improve control and deliver a more connected payment experience for businesses around the world.”
Agentic Transformation Drives Real Customer Value
Coupa’s commitment to agentic AI is yielding significant, quantifiable benefits for its customers by automating complex financial tasks and delivering substantial ROI. Coupa’s agent workforce continues to grow with over 50 specialized Navi agents available across Early Access, Limited Availability, or General Availability. New I2P agents in the September 2026 Release focused on payment approval efficiency, working capital optimization, and accounts payable execution.
These broad capabilities are already translating into measurable success, as demonstrated by the performance of several key agents:
- The Expense Receipt Parsing Agent is becoming one of the most used agents across the Coupa platform. A leading national insurance company has automated the parsing of approximately 50,700 receipts in less than three months, resulting in 211 working days saved for its end-users and an impressive nearly 25x return on investment.
- The Invoice Payment Batch Creation Agent is already demonstrating early results, with almost $6K in value and nearly three work weeks of time saved by automating payment batches, a strong early signal of the time and cost savings customers can expect from this agent.
“We’re building toward a future where the entire financial operations process is designed by humans but executed autonomously by agents, freeing finance teams from manual workflows,” said Rajiv Ramachandran, Coupa Chief Product Officer, I2P. “By blending our deep history of organic innovation with highly strategic AI acquisitions, including Rossum and Tonkean, we are delivering transformational, agentic payables, payments, working capital, and cash management with unmatched scale and trust.”
AP Automation Enhancements
The company’s strategic focus on AI-powered automation advanced further with the integration of Rossum, the AI-first market leader in intelligent document processing (IDP). Coupa IDP allows AP teams to manage massive transactional document volumes and scale workflows across the business, boosting productivity by 10x, enabling up to 98% touchless invoice processing. With triple-digit-year-on-year growth, Coupa IDP is proving valuable to customers like Keplr Vision, who went live with the solution in four weeks and cut statement reconciliation efforts by 87.5%.
