Nate, the lightbulb mascot, hosts a new short video series simplifying electricity rates, plans, and consumer questions for Texans.
HOUSTON, TX, UNITED STATES, November 6, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — HOUSTON, Texas – November 6, 2026 – My Power Negotiator, a Texas electricity brokerage platform, has launched a new game-themed educational video series aimed at making electricity plans and pricing easier for consumers to understand.
The short-form series uses familiar game-show concepts, simple questions and visual scenarios to explain topics that can often make electricity shopping confusing, including advertised rates, actual plan costs, usage levels, contract terms and how different plan structures can affect a household’s bill.
At the center of the series is Nate, My Power Negotiator’s lightbulb character, who acts as the host and guide.
The initial concepts include “The Rate Is Right?”, “Who Wants to Be a Power Saver?”, “Power Feud” and “Spin for Your Plan,” each using a different game format to address a specific electricity-shopping question.
“Electricity education is important, but it does not always have to feel complicated,” said Veeru of My Power Negotiator. “We wanted Nate to help explain the questions consumers actually face, but in a format that is quick, visual and enjoyable to watch.”
Turning Common Electricity Questions Into Games
In “The Rate Is Right?”, viewers are encouraged to look beyond an advertised electricity rate and consider what a plan may actually cost at their household usage level.
“Who Wants to Be a Power Saver?” uses a quiz format to explore electricity-plan decisions, while “Power Feud” focuses on common assumptions consumers make when choosing a plan.
“Spin for Your Plan” looks at different contract-term options and reinforces that there may not be one plan that is right for every household.
The videos are designed primarily for short-form digital and social platforms, allowing individual electricity concepts to be explained in a matter of seconds rather than through lengthy technical explanations.
According to My Power Negotiator, the series is part of a broader consumer-education effort that also includes city-specific electricity guides, regional rate information and tools that help customers evaluate plans using their location and actual electricity usage.
“Consumers regularly see a lot of numbers when they shop for electricity,” Veeru added. “Our aim is to help them understand what those numbers mean before they make a decision. If a game format helps someone stop and ask one more question about a plan, then the education has done its job.”
My Power Negotiator plans to continue developing new Nate-led educational content covering electricity rates, plan structures, renewals and other topics relevant to Texas electricity consumers.
