RICHMOND HILL, ON, Nov. 3, 2026 /CNW/ — Mazda Canada Inc. today announces pricing and packaging for the 2027 Mazda3 sedan and Mazda3 Sport hatchback. For 2027, every Mazda3 and Mazda3 Sport model receives Rear Seat Alert as standard equipment, further enhancing the vehicle’s comprehensive suite of safety and driver-assistance technologies. Rear Seat Alert joins a long list of standard i-Activsense safety features designed to help drivers remain aware of their surroundings and occupants.

Available in both sedan and hatchback body styles, Mazda3 continues to offer customers an engaging driving experience, sophisticated Kodo design, and premium craftsmanship throughout the lineup. Buyers can choose from front-wheel drive or Mazda’s predictive i-Activ AWD system, while turbocharged models continue to provide up to 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque when using premium fuel.

The 2027 Mazda3 lineup continues to feature a naturally aspirated SKYACTIV-G 2.5-litre engine producing 186 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque, while GT Turbo models are equipped with a SKYACTIV-G 2.5T Dynamic Pressure Turbo engine delivering up to 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque.

MAZDA3 GX / MAZDA3 SPORT GX

The entry point to the Mazda3 lineup is anything but basic. Powered by a responsive SKYACTIV-G 2.5-litre engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, Mazda3 GX and Mazda3 Sport GX combine engaging driving dynamics with an extensive list of comfort and safety features. Standard equipment includes cloth-trimmed seating surfaces, heated front seats, push-button start, electronic parking brake, and an intuitive infotainment system featuring wired Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ compatibility.

A comprehensive suite of standard i-Activsense safety technologies includes Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Smart Brake Support Front, Lane-keep Assist System, Lane Departure Warning System, High Beam Control, Driver Attention Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring, and a rearview camera. MAZDA3 GS / MAZDA3 SPORT GS

Building upon the well-equipped GX model, the GS trim introduces a more premium and connected experience. Enhancements include heated exterior mirrors, rain-sensing windshield wipers, dual-zone automatic climate control, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather-wrapped shift knob, rear-seat centre armrest with cup holders, and a passenger-side seatback pocket.

Technology is further enhanced through a larger 10.25-inch centre display, touchscreen functionality for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and wireless phone charging.

The available Luxury Package adds leatherette-trimmed upholstery, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, driver’s seat memory, advanced keyless entry, auto-dimming rearview mirror, power moonroof, and exterior mirrors with reverse tilt-down functionality. On GS models, Mazda’s predictive i-Activ AWD system is available when equipped with the Luxury Package.

MAZDA3 GT / MAZDA3 SPORT GT

The GT trim elevates Mazda3 into premium territory, combining upscale craftsmanship with advanced technology and driver-focused features. Standard equipment includes black leather-trimmed upholstery, 18-inch silver metallic alloy wheels, a Bose® 12-speaker premium audio system, SiriusXM® satellite radio, Mazda Online Navigation, Off Road Navigation, and Alexa.

The GT trim also adds Traffic Sign Recognition, Smart Brake Support Rear, Smart Brake Support Rear Crossing, front and rear parking sensors, a windshield-projected Active Driving Display, 360° View Monitor, and Cruise and Traffic Support. Mazda3 GT sedan is available with front-wheel drive or i-Activ AWD paired with a smooth-shifting 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. For driving enthusiasts, Mazda3 Sport GT continues to offer a choice of six-speed automatic or manual transmission and front-wheel or all-wheel drive options, providing a connected driving experience for every type of driver while maintaining the premium appointments expected from the GT grade.
